Me and my other half

As my title states, I am a klutz. Complete and utter accident-waiting-to-happen klutz. I’m not ashamed to admit I lack grace and dexterity in normal life circumstances. It isn’t constant, but sometimes comic relief for my family (namely my husband) and sometimes painful to household pets and furnishings.

I won’t go into too much boring detail (wait, that might be a lie as I tend to ramble) but I am Cindy, the Klutzy Shutterbug. I was born in North Carolina and I am finally back here after almost 10 years away. My husband served in the US Army for 13 years until he was medically discharged because of a major hip injury.

We have no children…as I suffer from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome/Female factor Infertility. For the last 3 years we have been undergoing a variety of treatments, surgeries and medications to finally achieve our dream to make our family complete. Until then, we have 2 furbabies; Avalon (the boxer) and Echo (the chihuahua/and yes, we’re dollhouse fans) who are utterly and completely spoiled and probably sometimes wonder if their owners are crazy when we talk to them like a person or swaddle them in blankets like a newborn infant.

As the other half of my name suggests, I am an amateur (at best) photographer. I enjoy the creativity and sereneness that holding a camera and pushing the shutter brings, the memories captured and the ability to find beauty in so many things through the viewfinder. My family and friends are subjected to constant torment as I hold them hostage with my Nikon D-50 until everyone is blind from the flashbulb and occasionally forced to pay ransom to keep the embarrassing guitar hero moments off of facebook. (OK the last part I am totally kidding about…but I do take cash bribes if you ever run into me and my Nikon)

Ok, to make this easier, I’ll list everything in bullets. I’ll add to it as I think about things or interests evolve. (Yes, there is a test later on the ins and outs of a klutzy shutterbug named Cindy…only kidding)

I have an obsession with sunglasses
Followed closely by my obsession for shoes
I love lazy days in front of the tv with the one I love
I have expensive taste but I am also extremely frugal
I love to relax with a good book
I cry easily and often
I am a loyal, trusting person…which tends to work negatively for me sometimes
I talk a lot and most of that tends to be rambling
I am a computer nerd and proud of it
I love animals and absolutely can’t pass up the chance to pet any
I am messy but not overly so
I love my friends
I take too many pictures
I love UNC Basketball
I love to write but have awful writers block that has spanned a few years
I long to be a mother
I truly believe I’ve met and married my soul mate
I love being hugged, but only by those who matter most in my life
I hate anything near, in or around my belly button
I love shopping but rarely have money to do so
I love giving gifts to people, especially when I know I have found something that they’ll love
I love old movies and musicals
I daydream often
I love road trips
I want to live in New York City one day
I love a good margarita
I miss Hawaii daily but didn’t appreciate it while I was there
I look forward to every adventure in our life together
I love good gossip (shameful I know)
I am a homebody
I love my sweat pants and Carolina shirt
I love Sonic’s cranberry juice slush
I drink way too much coffee
I love and miss my mommy and daddy everyday
My guilty pleasures are reality tv, stupid disney shows and celebrity gossip sites
I love watching bridal shows even though its been 9 years since my wedding
I have seen Buffy seasons 1-7 more times than I care to count
I start things a lot and don’t finish them
I am a good candidate for ADD research
I clean when I am angry
I love Olive Garden salad
I love Tom’s hot fries
I collect pens and love shopping on the stationary aisle
I love makeup but rarely wear it anymore
I read glamour and cosmo every month but think half the stuff they write is bull
I love hats but rarely find one I think I look good in
I support cancer research
I am a conservative-liberal
I believe in patriotism but also checks and balances
I learn something new everyday
I love meeting new and interesting people, but I know if we “click” immediately
I support Gay rights
I wear my heart on my sleeve all the time
I love fairies and I do believe
I voted.
I like silly random things
I love Chilis and would eat there everyday if I could afford it
I love flowers
I love vivid colors
I have bad road rage
My husband is the only one that can make me smile on really bad days
I am a pack rat
Soda, Tea and water have to be ice cold, coffee steaming hot
I think Iced tea was made to be sweet…almost crunchy sweet
I have a southern accent made thicker when I drink or get tired
I stutter when stressed or tired
I love to sleep
I love lifetime movies (should have been a guilty pleasure huh?)
I dream in color, vividly and remember them
Those dreams are most often nightmares
I hate uptight people
I love playing in the rain
I hope for snow everyday of winter
I like to be cold
I like to be organized but I am very bad at it
I am extremely clumsy
I love country music
I hate rap
I like to just sit and people watch in crowded areas
I feel sorry for telemarketers and bill collectors
I love to debate and do so passionately but respectfully
